You will learn in this post how to use fenugreek the right way as a man, without side effects!

First, some questions:

What Are The Benefits Of Fenugreek For Men?

What happens if a man takes fenugreek? Is consuming fenugreek seeds or leaves safe for men’s health? What about fenugreek capsules and extracts, are they beneficial for men?

The answer is yes, fenugreek is not only very safe for men, it’s also very beneficial; it will help the immune system, build stronger muscles, fight off bad cholesterol, increase fertility, libido, sexual stamina and fight erectile dysfunction.

Here is what you are going to learn:

Why Are Most Men Afraid Of Using Fenugreek?

This is the fenugreek brand I always recommend to guys, you should give it a try.

Fenugreek contains huge amounts of phytoestrogens which play an important role in female sexual health and beauty; this is the main reason why many men are simply scared of taking this herb.

They are afraid they may get man boobs!

Well, guess what, these are plant hormones; they may look very close to female hormones but are different in their operating mode.

In other words, they won’t cause men to develop breasts as long as they keep their intake balanced!

Does Fenugreek Increase Estrogen In Males?

Many guys are scared of using fenugreek because they think they’ll develop breasts!

Because fenugreek contains plants hormones, men can feel frightened to use it, especially after hearing different horror stories about guys growing boobs or even lactating!

Let me assure you that this will only happen if you take very high amounts and certain types of extracts.

But if you keep your intake optimal, you have nothing to worry about; in fact, if fenugreek is taken regularly, it can be of extreme benefits for men.

Fenugreek is widely recognized as very helpful for women; as it increases breast milk production, prevents dangerous diseases such as cancers and also help in enhancing breast size and firmness.

Fenugreek is also scientifically recognized for its anti-cancer effects.

To read more about this subject, please refer to this article:

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3095649/pdf/nihms283130.pdf

However, these same effects are also the ones that frighten most men when it comes to taking its seeds and supplements.

They think that since fenugreek is a “women’s herb” it must have many side effects when taken by men as the male and female anatomy is different, especial in terms of sexual organs, behaviour and hormones.

Fenugreek’S Benefits For Men

As stated before, fenugreek is very valuable for men, and here are its most important benefits.

Male Enhancement

Scientists took 30 men in a randomized test and gave them fenugreek every day; they also took another 30 men and gave them a placebo.

Men who took fenugreek experienced a significant improvement in their sex drive; however, the ones who did not experience any change.

This can be explained by the fact that fenugreek is a very powerful plant that’s going to lower bad cholesterol levels in the blood.

This will, in turn, help men’s sexual organs work better as cholesterol tend to clog arteries and small blood vessels and is the primary cause of erectile dysfunction.

We are going to talk about this in the next section of this article, but suffice to say that fenugreek is very beneficial for enhancing sex drive in men.

Fenugreek’S Benefits On Erectile Dysfunction

According to medscape.com:

“Erectile dysfunction (ED) affects 50% of men older than 40 years…”

And yes, more and more younger men are affected with ED, and the real problem is that, according to Irwin Goldstein, editor-in-chief of The Journal of Sexual Medicine:

“Erectile function, in general, is a marker for overall cardiovascular function…”

Even worse, he goes on to say:

“Clinically, when younger patients have presented with erectile dysfunction, we have in the past had a bias that their ED was primarily psychologic-based and vascular testing was not needed.”

In the past, doctors used to think that erectile dysfunction was caused by stress and other psychological problems. Still, in more recent years, more and more researchers have started to the point that cardiovascular health was probably the main reason why many men are suffering from this sexual problem.

You see, for men, it’s not whether they are psychologically ready or not, it has everything to do with biology.

In other words, if you are a man and you have erectile dysfunction, most of the time, it’s not due to your mental state, but your cardiovascular health.

And this is where fenugreek plays a very important role at not only preventing cardiovascular issues because of its antioxidants level, but also at reducing cholesterol levels, thanks to a flavonoid called naringenin.

For more information, please, read my article on the subject of using fenugreek to reduce cholesterol levels: https://fenugreekworld.com/how-much-fenugreek-to-reduce-cholesterol/

How To Use Fenugreek Seeds For Erectile Dysfunction

A diet rich in fiber is excellent at unclogging your arteries and allowing blood to reach your sex organs which in turns reduces erectile dysfunction significantly.

First of all, you need to understand that taking some few fenugreek pills a day won’t solve this problem!

I have to be brutally honest with you, because, as mentioned before, erectile dysfunction may be a sign that your cardiovascular health isn’t doing very well, and no, some few pills won’t help you!

However, because we are dealing with the subject fenugreek, here is what I advise my male readers to do:

First of all, you need to lower your cholesterol levels as much as possible; this can be done by avoiding animal foods such as meat, fish, dairy, poultry, and eggs.

The next thing is to reduce the consumption of processed carbohydrates; anything that comes processed should be avoided.

The third step is to add rich fibre foods to your diet, here; I’m talking about beans, whole grains, brown rice and lots of fruits and vegetables.

Now, let me show you how to use fenugreek for erectile dysfunction:

You have two options; the first one is to rely on fenugreek capsules, they are extremely convenient since you just pop two in your mouth and call it a day.

but the real benefits are going to occur when you start taking ground fenugreek seeds daily.

Fenugreek Dosage For ED

For men, the best fenugreek dosage is a maximum of one teaspoon a day, and here, I’m talking about ground fenugreek seeds.

This is truly the safest amount you can take and to be honest with you; I have encouraged my husband to start doing the same daily.

It has absolutely no side effects.

Please, consult your doctor before using any information from this article, and it’s very powerful for men since it lowers cholesterol levels very rapidly and is also extremely beneficial for their sexual health and stamina.

Every day, after breakfast, my husband takes one teaspoon of ground fenugreek seeds with a large glass of water.

It’s true, it makes his sweat smell a little like maple syrup, but it’s completely harmless.

Fenugreek For Male Libido

Fenugreek has also been proven scientifically to increase libido in men, this can be explained by the huge amounts of flavonoids and antioxidants found in it.

These are going to lower inflammation levels in the body.

Which is going to free energy which in turn brings more vitality and stamina and is used by the body when needed.

Such as during intercourse.

One of the most important ideas we need to talk about right now is the role of carbohydrates.

You see, more and more men are starting to get rid of carbohydrates from their diets, thinking that they are going to make them fat, the opposite is just true.

Carbohydrates are essential to our diets, and here, I’m not talking about refined ones, I’m talking about whole foods such as beans, seeds, whole grains, and fruits and vegetables.

As a man, to keep your libido high, you need to give your body what it craves, lots of unprocessed carbohydrates.

My husband eats lots of carbohydrates every day, from whole wheat bread, brown rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, corn, lots of fruits, and even snacks on dates, by the way, they are 80% pure sugar by weight!

His cholesterol level is very low and to tell you the truth, he’s a beast in bed.

The main thing you need to understand here is that the less cholesterol you have in your diet, from your food, the more libido you’ll have.

Of course, cutting down on all comfort food can be difficult; however, if you are suffering from low libido, I think that the most difficult thing is not being able to please your partner.

Fenugreek Dosage For Male Libido

As mentioned some few paragraphs ago, the best fenugreek dosage for men is to not exceed one teaspoon a day of ground fenugreek seeds, of course, after breakfast with a large glass of water.

And if you are planning to use fenugreek capsules instead, then, do not exceed two 610 Mg pills.

Fenugreek And Testosterone Levels

Fenugreek’s effects on libido are also due to its ability to increase testosterone levels.

Indeed, fenugreek consumption increases the production of protodioscin which is a precursor of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which is in turn is a precursor of testosterone.

In other words, fenugreek intake increases the production of testosterone precursor, which leads to a higher libido and sexual stamina.

The effects of fenugreek on testosterone have been documented in many studies like the following:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5278660/

Where it’s clearly stated that:

“Free testosterone levels were improved up to 46% in 90% of the study population. 85.4% of the study population showed improvements in sperm counts. Sperm morphology improved in 14.6% of volunteers.”

This statement not only reveals that fenugreek plays an important role in increasing testosterone levels, but it also had a significant role in men’s fertility as it improved sperm count and morphology.

How Much Fenugreek To Take To Increase Testosterone

After asking many of my male readers about their experience with fenugreek, I believe that the sweet spot is to, again, not exceed one teaspoon a day.

of course, ground fenugreek seeds, which translates to about two capsules, 610 Mg each, after breakfast, which is always the best time to take fenugreek seeds or capsules, with a large glass of water.

Fenugreek’S Benefits On Male Fertility

Both sperm count and sperm motility are extremely important for male fertility, and this is where fenugreek plays its most important role in my opinion.

In an article in Advances in Life Science and Technology Vol.29, 2015 titled: Treatment of Men Infertility using Low doses of Fenugreek Oil Extract, researchers took two groups of patients, group A and group B, group A had 50 patients and group B had 30.

Group A patients were given fenugreek oil extract while group B was giving the remaining fenugreek material after the oil extraction.

According to researchers:

“Group B showed no significant changes in all parameters of semen analysis.”

While

“Group A elicited highly significant increase in all parameters of semen investigation mainly in sperms count… these changes resulted in 60% occurrence of pregnancy after treatment (within 2 – 3 months of treatment)…”

So, does fenugreek increase sperm count?

Absolutely YES, as we have just seen, fenugreek intake was associated with increased male fertility.

I have three children and thank God, we have never had any issues with conceiving, whenever we decide on having a kid, it only takes us about 2 to 3 months to get a positive pregnancy test result.

However, before you take fenugreek, you need to understand one very important thing:

The more stress you have going on in your life, the more your fertility will decline.

With this said, let’s talk now about one of the main reasons why more and more men are having difficulties conceiving, most importantly, why they have low sperm count and motility:

Their diets!

The less saturated fat, dairy, and animal foods you have, the more sperm count and sperm motility you are going to have.

Please, watch the following two videos; they are based on recent scientific studies:

Diet and male fertility

Saturated fats and male fertility

Fenugreek Supplements For Sperm Count

In other words, can you achieve the same results with fenugreek supplements? Can fenugreek supplements increase sperm count and motility?

I have done much research on the subject, and most scientific studies are based on fenugreek extracts and supplements, so, the answer is absolute yes.

It can be done, but I prefer that you use ground fenugreek seeds because they are more abundant in sopanins.

You can consider them as a whole food, whereas most fenugreek supplements and capsules are only going to contain extracts, which may be very powerful for one specific purpose, however, with ground fenugreek seeds, they contain more fibre, more flavonoids, more phytonutrients, and most importantly, their side effects are very limited.

I have already talked about this in many of my previous posts, the fact that more and more manufacturers use cheap products when making supplements.

This is also the case with fenugreek capsules, some manufacturers, instead of using high-quality fenugreek extracts, are going to end up using low-grade extracts, which tend to cause kidney and liver problems on the long run.

My husband and I have used Nature’s Way, which is also the brand I recommend to my female readers because I trust it, and I have used it over and over without any side effects.

Does Fenugreek Increase Seminal Fluid?

Ejaculate volume is primarily a result of one’s genes and most importantly, one’s diet.

If you’d like to increase your seminal fluid, your diet needs to be rich in zinc and selenium.

In a study by Hunt CD, Johnson PE, Herbel J, et al. titled Effects of dietary zinc depletion on seminal volume and zinc loss, serum testosterone concentrations, and sperm morphology in young men.

link here: http://citeseerx.ist.psu.edu/viewdoc/download?doi=10.1.1.1001.952&rep=rep1&type=pdf , it was found that a high deficiency of zinc can tremendously reduce sperm count and motility.

For nearly a month, young men were instructed to eat a diet with only ten per cent of the daily value requirement of zinc, about fifteen milligrams, researchers have measured their sperm count and volume before and after.

At the end of the study, it was demonstrated that even for a brief period of severe zinc deficiency, males could lose sperm quality and quantity dramatically.

Unfortunately, one teaspoon of ground fenugreek seeds contains less than 0.2mg zinc, which is about 2% of the value of the daily requirement for the average man, and 0.2mcg, less than 1%.

The most important thing you need to understand here is that relying only on one food or supplement to increase your seminal fluid isn’t going to cut it; your diet needs to be rich in a variety of nutritious foods such as whole grains, nuts, seeds, lots of vegetables, and most importantly, lots of beans and lentils.

Yes, red meat and seafood are also very rich in zinc and selenium, but they are also rich in cholesterol and other hormones.

If you can afford free range meats, then, by all means go for it.

Does Fenugreek Increase Testicles’ Size?

Since fenugreek can raise testosterone levels in men, it’s also thought that it can increase the testicle size, however, to my knowledge, research still needs to be done on this subject and anything you read on the internet is pure speculation.

Fenugreek’S Benefits For Bodybuilding

Fenugreek seeds benefits for men

Fenugreek seeds consumption both improves muscle strength and weightlifting endurance when training, they are also a great source of the essential mineral iron, which is very important for healthy cardiovascular system.

Fenugreek is very helpful when building muscles as it’s very rich in proteins and antioxidants, which are very protective to human tissues.

11 g of fenugreek powder contains more than 3 g of essential proteins.

However, this is not the main benefit of fenugreek for men who want to build strong muscles; the most important benefit is that it’s going to help with the release of energy; which is going to help you do more workouts and exercises more.

You can read more about the beneficial effects of fenugreek on energy extraction and use in the following article: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2978122/pdf/1550-2783-7-34.pdf

Hair Loss Prevention

Fenugreek plays a very important role at regulating testosterone levels in the body, especially a byproduct of this hormone called DHT; however, most men still don’t know how to use this amazing herb to slow down hair loss and most importantly, increase growth in the remaining hair follicles.

The best type of fenugreek you can use for hair loss prevention and hair growth is fenugreek oil, of course, used topically, in other words, applied directly to your scalp.

This will not only prevent hair loss, but it will also increase hair growth in your remaining hair since it lowers DHT, which is a great contributor to hair damage.

Boost Appetite

I’m sure that this is going to be very handy when building muscles as eating more nutritious food will mean adding more essential proteins into the muscles and having more nutrients and energy to workout.

This is thanks to fenugreek’s high Sopanins levels which help with digestion and stomach health.

Helps With Digestive Problems

Fenugreek is still largely used in many parts of the world as a digestive aid.

For example, people take fenugreek tea or fenugreek powder to stop the discomforting feeling of fullness and heartburns, fenugreek is also very effective for helping with gas and bloating.

it’s also very efficient at relieving diarrhea and other intestinal issues.

Relieves Constipation

Fenugreek is very rich in dietary fibers.

11 g of fenugreek powder contains more than 3 g of dietary fibres, this amount is very significant, especially for less than one tablespoon.

It’s also very helpful because it will soften stools and help your intestines absorb more water, which is going to help relieve constipation fast.

In fact, in most countries where fenugreek powder is largely used, a very common constipation relief is to ingest one teaspoon with a large glass of water.

It usually sends people to the bathroom in three hours! Source: I go there every single morning; it’s like clockwork.

Balance Cholesterol Levels

The same fibres that are very helpful for the digestive system are also very helpful at reducing bad cholesterol levels.

Fenugreek has scientifically been proven to help with bad cholesterol; it will increase good cholesterol levels while decreasing bad cholesterol, it does this through its fibres which are going to absorb excess fats from your diet, this will, in turn, help the liver regulate cholesterol levels dramatically.

Relieving Pain

In many parts of the world, fenugreek is used successfully to relieve pain caused by different diseases such as hernia and muscular pain.

It’s still not fully understood why fenugreek is so helpful at this, but what is known is that it’s used successfully and many people are living much more happily thanks to taking it.

This is great if you train very hard, for example, you won’t feel as much muscle soreness and pain as when not taking fenugreek.

Fenugreek For Male Breast Enlargement

I have had many men ask me about the best way to use fenugreek for male breast enlargement.

To most guys trying to achieve this, let me first tell you that it can be done, it’s possible since fenugreek is known for its gynecomastia effect.

in other words, increasing male breast size.

Does Fenugreek Cause Gynecomastia?

First of all, gynecomastia is a hormone disorder, meaning that male breasts are less exposed to testosterone and are more exposed to female hormones.

This latter induce breast growth; it can also last up to two years and sometimes, it can even be lifelong.

To answer the question, yes, fenugreek can cause gynecomastia when taken in large amounts.

And this is also the reason why fenugreek is widely credited with male feminization in different forums and internet articles, especially with transsexual men.

Will Fenugreek Increase Male Breast Size?

When used as recommended in this post, less than one teaspoon of ground fenugreek seeds a day, then, fenugreek will not increase male breast size.

however, if taken extensively and in large amounts, then yes, it can cause male breast development.

The Right Fenugreek Dosage For Male Breast Enlargement

To use fenugreek to increase male breasts, you have to be aware that you need to lower testosterone levels in the body.

This is the reason why different supplements are used, such as saw palmetto, which is extremely efficient at achieving this effect on men’s breasts.

Then, it’s up to you, you can either use ground fenugreek seeds or fenugreek capsules, but you need to be aware that it requires large quantities.

So, here is what has worked for many men at increasing their breast size:

Every day, always after breakfast, take two saw palmetto capsules and one tablespoon ground fenugreek seeds or eight capsules with a large glass of water.

Fenugreek Side Effects On Men

Fenugreek is truly a very beneficial plant for men; however, it does have some side effects, and these are the most important ones:

Maple Syrup Odor

This is one of the most noticeable side effects of taking fenugreek, the sweat and urine are going to be imprinted with a very pungent maple syrup odour!

This is nothing to worry about; in fact, the smell of fenugreek is very beneficial for your body; it’s simply flavonoids spreading through your body, which are very powerful antioxidants.

Male Lactation

Male lactation can happen when taking large amounts of fenugreek; however, it’s extremely rare.

Usually, when taking less than one teaspoon, two capsules, of fenugreek a day, you have nothing to worry about; real troubles start when consuming more than two tablespoons a day.

But this is rare, and after surveying more than 100 men taking fenugreek seeds or fenugreek capsules daily, I can say that no one has ever reported lactating.

However, if you are a man, and you would like to produce breast milk, then, you need to lower testosterone in your body, and to do this, you need to take different supplements such as saw palmetto along with fenugreek seeds or fenugreek capsules.

Phytoestrogens

Phytoestrogens are molecules that are similar to a female hormone called estrogen; this hormone is very dangerous for men because it will interfere with his reproductive system.

However, phytoestrogens are not dangerous because the body can deal with them and can flush them away; however, when taking fenugreek, one must be very careful not to exceed the recommended dosage.

These are the two most important side effects of taking fenugreek for men, other side effects are diarrhea, stomach pain, and bloating, however these side effects are only going to occur when you take fenugreek capsules or extracts in very large doses, however, when taking ground fenugreek seeds, this will not happen as the human body is accustomed to its consumption as it has been a staple in many culture’s diets for thousands of years.

Use these fenugreek capsules for more stamina.

How Much Fenugreek Should A Man Take?

To stay side effects free when taking fenugreek, a man should never exceed one teaspoon a day of ground fenugreek seeds …

How Many Fenugreek Capsules Should A Man Take?

…or two capsules a day.

This is the most important dosage you need to respect when taking fenugreek; otherwise, you are going to suffer from different side effects ranging from low testosterone levels to even reduced body hair.

How Many Grams Of Fenugreek Per Day

For women, they should not exceed six capsules a day, 10 grams of ground fenugreek seeds; however, for men, things are a little different!

As a rule of thumb, avoid taking massive doses of fenugreek, this means that you should never exceed 5 grams a day.

What’s The Best Time To Take Fenugreek?

One more thing, fenugreek should always be taken with meals and in powdered form, preferably in the morning after breakfast and with a large glass of water!

Never have the seeds as they are, not ground because they are not going to be digested very well.

These are the most important advice men need to remember before taking fenugreek, if you need any help, write me a comment and I will answer you very quickly.
